Feb 13-17: Blanchard Valley School’s Book Fair
Blanchard Valley School’s Annual Book Fair will be open to anyone in the community to purchase books during regular school hours. To celebrate book fair we have some fun events lined up, including a movie night.
Feb 13-18: Cupcake for a COTA
Baker’s Cafe in Findlay will be hosting a Cupcake Fundraiser for local Findlay Trent Christopher Burrier, who is awaiting a liver transplant. Cupcake flavor is Peanut Butter and Chocolate, and $1 of each cupcake purchased will e donated to Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Christopher.
Feb 18: Kids Yoga with Harmony Yoga
Kids Yoga Class. Your child will learn basic yoga poses and breathing in a playful environment including music, games, stories and imagination. Join in the fun and learn the many benefits of yoga for children. Presented by Harmony Yoga of Findlay.
Feb 18: Findlay Mom Prom – $30-$50
All proceeds benefit Awakening Minds Art. This night to remember includes Queen Crowning, Best Dressed Couple, Silent Auction, 50/50 Drawing, Heavy Hors D’oeuvres, and much more! Prom attire is suggested, County attire preferred – anything goes! This year, featuring Nashville Crush!
Feb 19: Valentines at the McKinnis House
Have you heard of “vinegar valentines?” These were “greeting” cards (or rather, insult cards) that became popular in the 1840s. They were decorated with a caricature and an insulting poem, and then given on Valentine’s Day. Visit the McKinnis House to learn about the history of Valentine’s Day and what it was like in 1847. Visitors will be able to make their own historical valentine and take it home with them.
