The following resources are available to residents effected by last week’s flooding. First, make sure you are taking all precautions to make sure you do not fall ill while cleaning up. The Courier has an article on cleanup safety and precautions here.

  • The Red Cross has free basic flood cleanup kits available at their office at 125 Fair Street. You can call the office at (419) 422-9322.
  • The United Way 211 chat is accessible 24 hours a day http://www.211oh.org/
  • The City of Findlay will be picking up debris Tuesday morning. Be sure that the debris is at the curb by 7am Tuesday morning (July 18th). They will only be picking up debris damaged by floodwater.
  • The Hancock County Landfill has extended hours this week: 7 am- 6:30 pm
  • In partnership with the United Way, HATS is offering free rides on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (July 17-19). This is intended for individuals who have damage to their cars due to flooding. Riders can request reusable shopping bags, care of Meijer and Walmart. You can book a ride by calling HATS at 419-423-7261.
