It is said that while you may have many dogs in your life, there will be one that is your “heart dog”…a canine soul mate of sorts. Mia was my heart dog. She was sweet, brave, and intelligent as well as beautiful. Even though it has been four years since we had to say goodbye, I still mourn her loss and think of her often. I have two new dogs in my life, and I do love them, but there is no way to replace a wonderful friend and companion like Mia. She will be in my heart forever.
