Hunting will continue in the Litzenberg Memorial Woods west of Findlay, at least for now. The Courier reports the Hancock Park District Commission took no action on a resolution to stop hunting at that location during their Tuesday meeting. Commission president Gary Hirschfeld has said he supports continuing hunting on the grounds, while commissioner Scott Younger is against it. Commissioner Barb Deerhake was not at Tuesday’s meeting.

Nine people attended the meeting and were all in favor of continuing seasonal hunting on the south side of the Litzenberg property. The area is closed to the public from September …read more
