Phillip Lewis has finally had the chance to share his passion with the city. Lewis, owner of SES Consulting & Marketing and SDR Safety & Security, noticed he was not quite able to fill all of his customers needs without a recording studio. What better way to fill the niche than to build his own?
Located at the back of the 2nd floor of the Independent Torpedo Building (124 W. Front Street), the studios will have their grand opening on Saturday, March 10th. The public is invited to an open house at the studio from 3-5pm that day. There will be live music – the band will be using the studio for its intended purpose, food, and door prizes. Recording sessions at the studio will be $75/hour.
Lewis will be one of the studio’s audio engineers. His interest in running a sound board stemmed from watching his brother use one at church. Eventually, he got into it himself, and discovered he loved it. He is excited to put his talents to good use to help local musicians.
Born and raised in Findlay, Lewis studied law; fire safety particularly sparked his interest.  In 2005, he started Lewis Security Service in his basement. Over time, it merged with Extinguish Fire Protection, becoming SDR, or ‘Stop, Drop, & Roll’. Other businesses started coming to him, asking who did his graphic and promotion work. He did it himself, and ended up branching out to do the same for others.
Before too long, the additional work became a second business venture entirely. SES, which stands for ‘Strategy, Execute, & Succeed,’ provides a wide range of consulting and marketing services to businesses, from the earliest stages onward. If you’re still in the brainstorming stages of a new business, SES can help you get it off the ground. From creating logos to promotional services.
