A ‘coming soon’ sign was placed near the North Main Street and Center Street a while back. It’s located at the former site of American Loan Mortgage, the Findlay Brewing Company, Star Pawn Shop, several other storefronts, and upstairs apartments. Everyone had their guesses on our Facebook page, but no one was 100% sure what was coming soon. However, per the property owners, the sign was more to draw awareness and interest than announcing a particular new business would be moving onto the property.
The buildings were extensively damaged in a January 2016 fire. The Gibbs building (2-story section pictured below) was razed in August 2016. According to the latter article, the owner of 227, Timothy Runion, had initially intended on rebuilding American Loan Mortgage in the same location.

So the answer of what’s ‘coming soon’? Whatever the buyer will want to put in! Runion and his business, American Servicing Corporation, have listed the 4 parcels for sale at $1.8 million. You can view the listing here.
The lots included in the sale are all pictured below, with the exception of the corner (parcel 560000190610), which is under a 10-year lease as a parking lot. You may recognize it as where Darnall’s Christmas trees are sold in the winter.
