Late night liquor lovers, beware.
On Thursday, Governor Mike DeWine requested that the Ohio Liquor Control Commission mandate all bars & restaurants to stop selling liquor at 10 PM each night. DeWine also elaborated, saying that if you order alcohol to your table before 10 PM, you can still enjoy it until 11 PM. While this was announced on Thursday, it is important to note that it is only a request as of Thursday from Governor DeWine, and that the Ohio Liquor Control Commission must vote on it.
Their voting is scheduled for 9 AM on Friday, July 31st. If it’s approved, the mandate will go into effect on Friday night, according to DeWine.
What do you think of this request? Will this change your weekend plans?
