Downtown Findlay Main Street Alley Project
The following information is from the City of Findlay’s engineering department regarding the upcoming reconstruction of Downtown Findlay Main Street alleys. The City of Findlay would like to stress that this construction will not close anyone off to their home or business for an extended period of time, unless it is deemed unsafe to pass. The intention is to perform most of the work without unnecessary distractions to local businesses or homes. If at any time you have limited access to your home or business, the City of Findlay can assist you in making special arrangements to accommodate any inconveniences. West Side Alley – Reconstruction Work
Start Date: April 3, 2017
Starting Location: West alleys will be reconstructed first, starting at Lima St. and will be working North towards the Blanchard River. The contractor will be starting with the waterline work first, then moving to storm sewer, and finishing with paving of the alleys (Some of these work items will overlap with each other).
Duration:
West Side Water Line Work – 2 weeks
West Side Storm Work – 1 week
West Side Paving – 2 weeks
Total Estimated Duration for West Side – 5 weeks
Completion for Side :
All work on the west side will be completed by the 2nd week of May.
East Side Alley – Reconstruction Work
Start Date: May 1, 2017
Starting Location: The contractor will be following the same strategy on the East Alleys as they did in the West Alleys, i.e. waterline first and paving last.
Duration:
East Side Water Line Work – 1 week
East Side Storm Work – 1 week
East Side Paving – 2 weeks
Total Estimated Duration for East Side – 4 weeks
Completion for Side: All work on the east side will be completed by the end of the third week of May.
