Findlay’s Fairfield Inn & Suites and Amy May’s Rockin’ Taco are teaming for a community event this holiday season. On Monday, December 16th, a free hot meal will be served, and toiletries & gifts will be distributed to those in need. The event will take place at the hotel, 2000 Tiffin Ave., from 11am – 2pm.

Amy Taylor of Amy May’s Rockin’ Taco has set up shop in the hotel’s parking lot 2+ times per week since April. This means she and Alexandra Helms, the hotel’s General Manager, have had a lot of time to get to know each other and brainstorm. This event will be their first community-centered team effort. Amy will pull the taco truck up as close to the building as possible. Guests are invited to enjoy their meal inside the hotel, or they may take the food home.

Donations are being accepted through December 13th in multiple forms: monetary, gift cards, canned food, new winter outerwear (hats, scarves, gloves), toiletries, and new children’s toys. Donations valued at $100 or more will earn you a gift certificate for complimentary night stay at the hotel!

Many hotel staff members will volunteer their time to help sort, wrap, and distribute items leading up to, and at, the event. “It’s something we’re really excited about, because we’ve never done something like this before!” Helms explained.
