Trinity Lutheran School was founded in Jenera in 1948. There are currently 36 students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, who learn in multi-grade classrooms (2 grades to a room). The students benefit from a 7:1 student-to-teacher ratio, allowing each student to receive the attention and support to help them reach their full potential.
Pricipal Justin Eternick highlighted that “The student teacher ratio really allows us to push our students. The majority of our parents come back and say how great TLS was for their kids, and how it allowed them to excel in high school.”
In addition to standard subjects, religion class is part of the curriculum (non-church members are more than welcome at the school). Students can also participate in music lessons and a variety of sports through the school. Cheerleading, volleyball, basketball, track, and soccer are all offered.
Free busing is available within a 10-mile radius. If you live outside that radius, students can be taken to a drop-off point, such as Immanuel Lutheran in Findlay. Tuition assistance is also available.
The school will be holding an open house on April 5th from 5 – 7 pm. Interested parents can learn more about the school, tour the facilities, view the curriculum, and meet teachers and current families. There will even be onsite registration for the 2018-2019 school year for all grades from preschool up to 8th grade. Pizza, cookies and snacks will be available, plus a fun scavenger hunt for small children that come along with their families.
The school also has a fun play coming up in which all students are involved. Their production of ‘Peter Pan’ will take place Friday, April 13 at 1:30 PM and Saturday, April 14 at 4:00 PM. It is open to the public.
