Both of Findlay’s Walmart locations are pleased to announce the launch of home grocery deliveries! The new service will launch on Tuesday, May 7th at 8am, but orders may be placed in advance. The service will kick off with a visit to Hope House. Walmart will be providing groceries and an in-kind donation between 9-10am.
Delivery will be available from 8am-8pm 7 days a week. Delivery price depends on times. During busy peak times, it will be $9.95. Off-peak times will be $7.95. You will be told the cost upfront when selecting your time. The minimum delivery order is $30 without a promo code. With a promo code, the minimum order is $50. The minimum order for pickup orders is $30, but there is no additional fee. Prices of all items for both methods of ordering are the same as in store.
While it is called grocery delivery, there are items beyond just groceries that can also be delivered. It’s easy, convenient, and will save you a ton of time. In addition to homes, delivery is a great option for businesses and organizations! Think: School, churches, and offices.
The service is expected to fill up quickly, and to remain very popular. It is recommended to get your orders in ahead of time. Orders can bee placed up to 6 days in advance, and can be ready within 3 hours. Same-day deliveries must be made by 3pm. If there are no times available, the site won’t allow you to place a delivery order.
Deliveries can be made roughly within a 7-mile radius. Before placing your order online, you will be prompted to enter your address. You will be shown straight away if the option is available to you, or not. Skipcart drivers provide the delivery service in unmarked, discreet vehicles. Drivers focus on one order at a time, which means your items go straight from the store to your home or business.
There is a team in the store dedicated 100% to personal shopping for pickup and delivery customers. They often come from departments within the store, so they know how to pick quality items for you. The personal shoppers arrive to work at 5am, and get first dibs on produce when the trucks arrive. You can expect the best available produce to be picked for your orders.
Orders for pickup and delivery can be placed online. There are app options in the Apple store and Google Play.
