Findlay’s first brick-and-mortar shop dedicated to CBD opened Friday, November 1st at 820 N. Main St. The location is store #508 for the Your CBD Store parent company, and is locally-owned by Eddie and Alanna Black. They will celebrate their grand opening and ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, January 8th at 11 AM.
CBD, which is short for cannabidiol, is made from an industrial strain of hemp that contains 0.3% or less THC. This means it is non-psychoactive, and therefore does not cause a high. It serves as a non-addictive alternative to opiate-derived painkillers, and can help with a wide variety of ailments, ranging from sleep and appetite issues to epilepsy, mood swings, and much more. Veterans are a passionate focus of the franchise, due to the demographic’s higher risk of PTSD. You can learn more about their #VeteransInitiative22 here.
The uses extend beyond human, also; a range for pets is also available in-store. “We’re not your average shop,” Eddie explains. “The company’s big slogan is ‘when good health hits home.’ We don’t just carry one thing, we carry a full range.” A display offers samples for visitors.
The products available come from SunMed, and are organic, non-GMO, and US-grown. Eddie shared SunMed’s mission statement, which the local business will emulate: We Empower. We develop and provide cutting-edge CBD products that utilize natural plant synergies; while fostering an informed consumer, one who seeks and demands transparency and only the highest quality with the hope of restoring a balance of life for oneself and others throughout.
Starting the conversation with your doctor is the best way to see if CBD is the right choice for you. Once customers enter the shop, a private consultation room provides the opportunity to discuss individual needs confidentially. “If you have questions, if you’re curious, stop by to see us, and ask the questions you’ve always wanted to ask,” says Eddie.
The store’s hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 am – 6 pm. Follow them on Facebook for the latest updates and information, or call them at (567) 301-2416.
